- Asylum: International Jewish Artist Retreat gathered 65 top young Jewish artists from around the world in Garrison, NY, from March 3-5, for an unprecedented exploration of global Jewish culture.
- The FJC-funded documentary The Law In These Parts, about military courts in the Israeli West Bank, will air on PBS’s POV series August 19th.
- The FJC’s own Marcie Kaufman, Manager of Individual Giving and Special Events, appears in Jewish Cultural Aspirations (Purdue University Press), edited by 2011 JCAA recipient Ruth Weisberg. Her chapter covers “The Impact and Vitality of New Jewish Art.”
- The FJC mourns the loss of Hadassah K. Musher, 101, former trustee and guiding light, the last surviving daughter of Rabbi Mordecai Kaplan (founder of Reconstructionism).
